Governors

The school Governors are drawn from parents, staff and other members of the community. There are approximately twenty Governors at any one time, with a third being parent Governors.

The Governing Body sets the vision and direction of the school, and employs the Head Teacher to achieve their aims by managing the school’s business on their behalf.

There are three Full Governing Body meetings each year, and other smaller committees, which meet regularly to monitor and evaluate the work of the school, and to give guidance or direction where necessary.

We are always keen to hear from people who would like to be school governors when the next vacancy occurs. You do not need any special skills – just a genuine interest in helping the school to succeed and a willingness to attend Governor’s meetings.

To volunteer, please contact the Chair of the Governing Body, either by letter at the school’s address or by telephoning the school and leaving a message.
